August 21 is Poet’s Day and incidentally this poem has been on my mind lately (thank you Mr. Henley)… Thinking about the past 9 months of 2016 and how much, as one entity, the human race has suffered and endured.
We may like to think that whatever we suffer, we suffer alone, but I think, whether we like it or not, whether we feel it or not, when one suffers, we all suffer together. It’s like this invisible thread that binds all of us – your sorrow is as much as mine.
So when/if you read this poem, read it for yourself but also for our collective race. Because despite what we know and what we see, the human spirit is unconquerable. It’s always victorious. And it lives on. Happy Sunday!
