Friendly reminder: Don’t forget to also protect your mental and emotional space and health. ♥️ –
It might be easy to think that this epidemic is solely a physical threat to you and your loved ones… so yes, you are doing ALL you can to take care of yourself and your family and your community. –
But our brains (and feelings) are incredibly powerful — our mental and emotional health goes hand-in-hand with our physical wellbeing. Yours. And your loved ones. And your community. And this earth. –
Take a deep breath. –
Fear is the most contagious thing in the world. It is not bad to be afraid. It is absolutely normal. Humans and animals are born with this instinct. You don’t need to defend your fear(s) to anyone. –
But recognize where it’s coming from and how you are handling it. What helps alleviate your fears? What is making it worse? –
Watch the news and engage in social media if you have to — does that help you? Maybe it does. Maybe it doesn’t. –
If it doesn’t — is there a healthier way to make you feel better? Give yourself time to do that today. If you don’t know, then now is a good time to find what does. –
At the end of the day, we’re all looking for comfort, safety, security and control. –
Sometimes we can find it outside of ourselves. Often, we’ll have to find it inside. –
It’s incredibly important to be self-aware for your sake and the sake of your family and our world. –
Maybe if we understand ourselves and our own needs a little bit more, we can be more effective in extending help and comfort to people around us. In a spirit of love that begins from the inside. And not out of fear and anger and hopelessness. –
The hard truth is no one knows what will happen next. –
But this is not something that’s brought about by a virus. Life has always been like this. The virus just brought it to the forefront of our attention and consciousness. –

I can’t tell you everything will be okay. You have to allow yourself to realize that my friend. –
